From obstacle course to fun zone

This is no ordinary storage space—there are monkey bars in the back, which immediately tells me that fun lives here. Whether it’s a child swinging with abandon or an adventurous adult testing their upper body strength, this garage is clearly more than just a place for tools and boxes. It’s part playground, part workshop, and part storage unit, all mashed into one enthusiastic space.

Right now, though, the garage is juggling a bit more than it can handle. It’s trying to be a gym, a bike shop, and a general drop zone for life’s overflow—all at once. The shelving and cabinets are doing their best, but they’re no match for the bins, gear, and ever-growing bike collection that have taken over the floor.

My job isn’t to strip away the personality of the space, but to help it function better. I’m not here to ruin the monkey bar magic or declare war on scooters—I’m just here to make sure you don’t have to climb over a camping stove to reach your bike helmet. With some smart zoning, creative vertical storage, and a little purging of what’s no longer useful, we can turn this obstacle course into an organized basecamp for all kinds of adventures.

We’ll create clear areas for play, gear, tools, and long-term storage so that everything has a place and it’s easy to move through the space. Bikes can hang, bins can slide, and the floor can make its triumphant return as something more than a maze. The monkey bars can stay the star of the show, but with fewer trip hazards along the way.

Once everything is sorted and streamlined, this garage will be more than just tidy—it’ll be ready for action. Whether it’s playtime, project time, or just grabbing a flashlight without a full-body search, this space will support it all. And the best part? You’ll still get to swing from the ceiling like the fun-loving legend you are.
